Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

Some folks has a lot of things around them that shines for other peoples. I think that maybe some of them was in tunnels. And in that tunnel, the only light they had, was inside of them. And then long after they escape that tunnel, they sitll be shining for everybody else.

Caleb Holt:  And you'd think after I washed the car, I've changed the oil, do the dishes, cleaned the house, that she would try to show me a little bit of gratitude. But she doesn't! In fact, when I come home, she makes me like I'm - like I'm an enemy! I'm not even welcome in my own home, Dad. That is what really ticks me off! Dad, for the last three weeks, I have bent over backwards for her. I have tried to demonstrate that I still care about this relationship. I bought her flowers, which she threw away. I have taken her insults and her sarcasm, but last night was it. I made dinner for her. I did everything I could to demonstrate that I care about her, to show value for her, and she spat in my face! She does not deserve this, Dad. I'm not doing it anymore! How am I supposed to show love to somebody over and over and over who constantly rejects me?

REALITY OF FEAR:

You're not scared of the dark, you're just scared of what's in it. You're not afraid of heights, you're just afraid of falling. You're not afraid of people around you, you're just afraid of rejection. You're not afraid to love, you're just afraid of not being loved back. You're not afraid to try again...

Don't place your mistakes on your head. It can weigh you down and crush you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as platform to view your horizon:-)

Superman isn't brave. You can be brave if you are indestructible. It's everyday people like you and me that are brave, knowing we can easily be defeated but still continuing forward. That's true bravery!
